I was just listening to the original song by Bat For Lashes (videolink), which is much more "spherical" and so different from Ben's and Dave's version. And though I like their interpretation more (to hear them sing in two voices really turns me on), I must admit the original is a real find for me.

the original version is not that different from Expatriate one's but I like it too. Thanks for the link songbird.

Very beautiful song, and Expats did their best to play it, especially when Ben and Dave sing it in two voices.
Sad that I didnt see them play "Daniel" live.

And the original version is almost a legend.
