Deadman Empty
PostSubject: Deadman   Deadman EmptyWed 16 Jun 2010 - 21:51

After these endless discussions about different tracklists on the different-time-released albums I was wondering if anybody actually got their hands on "Deadman"?
There's a horrible live version on Youtube, I really would like to hear it properly, including the lyrics. The Youtube version is just loud and you only can guess the melody...
Does anyone have it and would be willing to share? :)

Can't find a video with a good sound too but here are the lyrics smile :

I'm a deadman on the wings of desire
I know I'm alive, and I'm not a liar
Poetic expressions in her face
I'm feeling so romantic here in this place

I could make a film about the love that I feel
I could make a move about the films that I love
Buh buh buh buh buh buh bow
Buh buh buh buh buh buh bow

I watch you wake up and break into stride
I see you jump the fence in the middle of the night
I reach for the light, the photograph
Just to know where I am
Where I am, where I am

Where I am, where I am
Where I am, where I am
Where I am

I take your hand and walk some miles
Songs on radios with hello and goodbyes
The speeches that we make
To stop us feeling afraid
Afraid

I could go to France and I could be
Hanging with superheroes, hanging with superheroes
Don't you wanna be just like me
I know you wanna be just like me

I watch you wake up and break into stride
I see you jump the fence in the middle of the night
I reach for the light, the photograph
To know where I am

I watch you wake up and break into stride
I see you jump the fence in the middle of the night
I reach for the light, the photograph
To know where I am

That's crazy - on my CD cover the song is listed, but it's not on the CD, thanks to "amazon"...
The US-iTunes-store sells "Deadman", but I'm not able to buy it. Has anyone of you an iTunes-gift card for the US? With such a code you can download songs from the store.

You guys seriously haven't heard Deadman? That needs to change right now. It's seriously one of my favourite songs of all time. I just discovered it's not on the international version of the album. That's moronic. Still, I can kind of understand. It's a fair fun/silly track by Expatriate standards. But that's why I love it so.

And if I shouldn't be sharing this then the boys can come over to Adelaide and kick my ass. It's been a while since I've seen them.
