Also I went to see Arcade Fire on Tuesday. It was brilliant. We managed to get the last spots on the barrier quite far to the left but still with a good view.

The band was great, so much energy. The audience was also very responsive and the band really fed off that atmosphere. There was a lot of interaction - not from a talking to the audience point of view but lots of eye contact with fans. In particular Regine was all smiles and Win went stage diving a lot. They really are brilliant live. Such a talented bunch of musicians.

I managed to nab a setlist from the sound desk at the end and I think it's pretty close to perfection. In particular Power Out straight into Rebellion was incredible and possibly one of the best main set closers I've experienced.

how the hell can u afford all those gigs and tavelling?? O.O

edit: wohooo, two great gigs just came in: Kings of Leon (Dec 6) and The Charlatans (Nov 3) in Munich - have to get tickets NOW!

Hehe, you've discovered my secret...

No, seriously, I'm very lucky to have a job where I get to go to the UK a lot on business and I always try and catch a concert when I'm over there. Or two. Or three. Also, mum and dad live near London so I save on accommodation. I also don't spend huge amounts on clothes or shoes for example.

Ooh, yes, I've discovered an appreciation for Biffy recently too, thanks to seeing them a few times supporting Muse. Really love their latest album.

I got tickets for a small White Lies gig in London on 22nd November today.

oh yeah just saw Biffy Clyro in Tourcoing too (near Lille, France) that was absolutely brilliant ! i also discoverd them supporting Muse ;)
and i saw Love Amongst Ruin yesterday in paris, that was amazing too !!

next gig is in two weeks - biffy clyro in prague - and i have no idea how i can survive those damn 14 days =(
it really is depressing, .. when you had wicked weeks, .. and suddenly its over. empty. and silent.

Oh my goodness, I saw The Gaslight Anthem on Saturday.

What can I say? Everything was perfect. We heard the sound check. We got centre barrier. We had signs with us with song requests on them and our requests got played - in fact, they even changed the setlist to include our requests! The concert was just so intense. So so hot and crushed but amazing. I got the setlist off the sound desk after the show. We then went to the back door and waited with a few others to meet the band. And we met all four of them! I got my setlist signed and we got pictures taken with them all and chatted with them for ages - about everything possible. Such lovely lovely down to earth guys.
